Electropolishing Equipment (JYC-EP-Series)

Built for Smoothing and Brightening Metal Surfaces

Stainless steel, aluminum, copper, and titanium parts. These parts need a smooth, bright, and corrosion-resistant surface. Our Electropolishing Equipment does this. The process applies electric current to remove microscopic peaks from the metal surface. This leaves a smooth, mirror-like finish. Material removal is typically 10 to 50 microns. Surface roughness improves from Ra 0.8 to Ra 0.1 or better. The process also enhances corrosion resistance. Stainless steel parts show improved passivation. Electropolishing meets ASTM B912 for stainless steel passivation. It is widely used in food processing, medical devices, and semiconductor equipment.

Materials and Construction for Corrosive Electrolytes

Electropolishing uses aggressive acidic electrolytes. Sulfuric acid and phosphoric acid are common. Some applications use perchloric acid. Tanks use high-quality PP or PVDF linings. Heaters are titanium or quartz. The cooling coil is also titanium. Exhaust systems are essential. We include fume scrubbers to capture acid mist. The rectifier provides precise DC output. Voltage is 5 to 20 V. Current density is 10 to 50 A/dm². The system includes temperature control at 50 to 80°C.
