Grade 8.8 and above high-strength bolts. They need corrosion protection and cost control. Our Barrel Acid Zinc-Nickel Plating Equipment meets this need. It uses a chloride acid system for zinc-nickel co-deposition. Nickel content is 10% to 14%. Current efficiency exceeds 90%. Plating speed is 40% faster than alkaline systems. The coating has built-in lubricity. Thread torque and preload force stay stable. Neutral salt spray tests reach 400 to 600 hours. This meets ASTM F2329. It can replace hot-dip galvanizing.

Materials and Construction for Acid Resistance

All parts that contact the solution use titanium or acid-resistant PP. The barrel side walls have elongated holes. This increases solution flow rate. The conductive mechanism uses a full copper shaft and corrosion-resistant beryllium copper contacts. This ensures uniform current distribution for every basket of parts. High-power titanium heating tubes and cooling coils precisely control bath temperature at 22 to 28°C.

Complexing agents ensure that parts inside and outside the barrel get consistent zinc-nickel alloy composition. There is no issue of high nickel on edge parts and low nickel on center parts.

 

Second, control is intelligent.

A PLC collects total current and pH data. pH is controlled at 5.8 to 6.2. The system calculates brightener and complexing agent consumption automatically. It adds them through flow meter closed-loop control.

 

Third, post-treatment is integrated.

The equipment connects directly to trivalent chromium clear passivation. It includes a powerful dryer to prevent white rust during storage. You can also add a hydrogen embrittlement testing station.
