Micro fasteners, stampings, spring washers, rivets, and electronic shields. These parts are too small for rack plating. Our Barrel Alkaline Zinc Plating Equipment is made for them. The barrel holds 50 to 150 kg of small parts per run. The non-cyanide alkaline zinc process is environmentally safe. The coating has fine crystals and good adhesion. Current efficiency is 70% to 85%. Deposition rate is moderate at 0.2 to 0.3 µm per minute. This prevents small parts from sticking together or deforming in the barrel. The product meets RoHS and WEEE directives.
Materials and Construction for Small Parts
The barrel is welded from quality PP or PVDF. It has a hexagonal shape. The open area exceeds 10%. Hole sizes range from 0.8 mm to 4.0 mm based on your part size. The drive uses a gear motor with conductive bars. Contact voltage drop is low. We install baffles in the tank. These eliminate dead zones in the barrel. Solution exchange frequency is ensured. We offer an automatic loading hopper as an option. This reduces worker labor.

The cathode head uses embedded copper or coated titanium. It comes with wear-resistant conductive carbon brushes. Contact resistance is under 0.5 ohms. It will not burn or damage your workpieces.
Second, temperature and current are automatically controlled.
A PLC controls the cooling coil or heater. Temperature is locked at 20 to 35°C. The rectifier provides segmented reverse current. This effectively removes nodules from the barrel wall and part tips.
Third, brightening is fast.
An automatic additive dosing pump is included. The brightening rate is 20% faster than traditional equipment. Plating time is reduced.
