Screws, washers, magnetic cores, electronic connector housings, and powder metallurgy parts. These micro-small, thin-walled, easily deformed parts are best plated by barrel plating. Our Barrel Plating Equipment serves this need. Barrel load capacity ranges from 10 to 300 kg. Part sizes range from 0.5 mm to 50 mm. Barrel open area is 8% to 15%. This ensures fast solution exchange. It meets ISO 4520 and related barrel plating standards. Our acid zinc-nickel caliper line was the first in China. Our barrel plating process is equally mature and reliable.
Materials and Construction for Durability
The barrel body is welded from PP, polycarbonate, or PVDF sheets. The structure is hexagonal or octagonal.This gives better tumbling effect. Drive options are gear drive (heavy load) or friction drive (light load). Tanks are dual-tank or single-tank with baffles for forced solution circulation. The conductive system uses copper busbars with carbon brushes or external cathode conduction. This prevents current from burning workpieces.
Three Core Advantages
First, the conductive system is very strong.
Embedded copper cathodes and wear-resistant conductive heads are used. Contact resistance is under 0.5 ohms. There is no arcing or sticking. We include inter-tank power-off functionality. This reduces leakage plating during barrel travel.
Second, agitation and temperature control are excellent.
Barrel speed is variable from 0 to 15 r/min. Optional internal strong spray or ultrasonic assistance improves deep-hole plating capability. Titanium heating tubes and cooling coils work together. Temperature is stable within ±1°C.
Third, fully automatic loading and unloading is available.
Automatic feeders, automatic centrifugal dewatering machines, automatic discharge hoppers, and weighing packaging systems are included. This enables unmanned dark factory operations.
